Red-and-white, the most popular color on Reddit, is no longer the most attractive political map.
The redditor behind the map, /u/the_red_and_white, says the color is “too dark and too orange,” and has now switched to a more palatable color.
/u/_the_redd_and-whitenote has since changed the map to a better mix of both colors.
“I wanted a map that was very appealing, so I changed the color scheme and made it palatable to a lot of people,” said /u/.
/u also added an option to remove the political cartoon from the map when a subreddit is “downvoted.”
He also posted a map of states with more than 1,000 subscribers, which is now available to the public.
He also updated the map of congressional districts, adding more states and adding some of the states that are “missing” from the current version.
/r/politics has also updated its subreddit with new maps.
/pol/ has updated its map of the US, now showing that the United States was “at war” in 2014.
